They say “Everything’s Bigger in Texas”, and our campus definitely went big with our Wild West Book Fair Family Event hosted on September 12. This was our first Scholastic Book Fair of the year, and we really wanted it to be a unique and fun experience for our visiting parents and students. Our families enjoyed participating in a game of “Wild West Bingo”, a “Read Aloud Corral” station where the story Are You a Horse by Andy Rash was shared, and finished off with a visit to our “Wild West Book Fair”. Our students and parents also had a Rootin’ Tootin’ time as they took pictures with our two farm mascots of the day: Clifford the Big Red Dog and The Chick-Fil-A Cow. Special thanks to all of our parents and Garza family members for supporting our Scholastic Book Fair and taking part of this event. In addition, a loud Yee-Haw to Palmhurst Chick-Fil-A management team for helping us out during this great event. Written by Miriam Gutierrez
