4th grade students at Evangelina Garza Elementary attended swimming classes on the month of October for four days at La Joya Sports Complex. The students learned the basic skills of swimming such as arm strokes, kicking, floating and backward swimming. Learning how to swim is such an important necessity so that students can stay safe when involved in water related activities. We are grateful to our school district for giving our students this opportunity.
