Students holding STEM based project

Simple Machines can be found all around us. Our 3rd grade students at Evangelina Garza STEM Elementary learned this during a Science Lesson. Students were asked to find items from home to create their very own simple machine. Students learned about the six types of simple machines: wheel and axle, wedge, lever, pulley, screw, and the inclined plane. From left to right we have Karen Hernandez, Jonathan Ramirez, German Luna, and Joshua Molina holding their simple machine.  Karen and Jonathan created a project based on the wheel and axle, while German and Joshua demonstrated the uses of a pulley system.
