On October 4th, the Evangelina Garza Elementary Huskies visited the La Joya ISD Howling Trails.The students had an introduction into the sport of golf. The Garza Huskies had the opportunity to learn the rules of the game and to have a chance to putt the ball. The La Joya ISD golf coaches taught the students about the opportunities to compete in UIL at the secondary level. Our Garza Husky students also learned about the academic opportunities to earn scholarships for college through playing golf. The students enjoyed the opportunity to learn about this sport, and eagerly look forward to additional participation!
